John S Dawson is mainly interested in mundane and medieval astrology and is currently working on two books covering the eras of Richard III and Charles I. The books will concentrate on discovering just how much influence medieval and early modern astrologers had in the political decision making process. John gained his BSc in Engineering Science with the Open University while working as a research technician at Leeds University in his native Yorkshire. John now works for a leading aerospace company where he has worked in a number of disciplines including Aerodynamics and Systems Engineering, he now works as a technical writer.

John Is on the council of the Astrological Association of Great Britain, where he is on the Events Sub-Commite helping organise regular events at local clubs in the UK.

John recently became ISAR Vice President for the UK and will in the future be hosting local qualifying exams for astrologers to attain ISAR's CAP qualification.

John is also publicity officer for Northern Lights Astrological Club in Blackpool, Lancashire. The club is one of the oldest in the region being in continuous existence under various titles since the 1950's. At the present time we meet on the first Tuesday of the month (except in December) at the Blackpool Cricket Club, Stanley Park (upstairs room). Meetings are from 8:00 till 10:00 PM.
