John S Dawson is mainly interested in mundane and medieval astrology and is currently working on two books covering the eras of Richard III and Charles I. The books will concentrate on discovering just how much influence medieval and early modern astrologers had in the political decision making process. John gained his BSc in Engineering Science with the Open University while working as a research technician at Leeds University in his native Yorkshire. John now works for a leading aerospace company in the north of England where he works as a technical author.

Every year on the first weekend in December the club has its Christmas Lunch in St Annes. We allways have a prominent after lunch speaker, for 2009 we had Bernard Eccles.
